Charities Directory

Circa maintains a Directory of Island-based charities. This gives a brief summary of the services provided by each charity, together with contact information and links to the charity’s website or Facebook page.    

We are currently in the process of moving an updated version of the Directory online, whilst undertaking a full review of the details we have for each charity prior to adding the information to our website, so please bear with us during this transition period.

Is there a website containing local disability-related information?

The Disability Networks website contains a large amount of useful and practical local disability-related information for Manx residents. Click on their logo below to access the website, or find them on Facebook

Where can I find details of benefits and other financial support which may be available to me?

Full details of the benefits and financial support services provided by the various government departments, including telephone numbers for enquiries, are given on the Isle of Man Government website.

Where can I find details of Care and Support Services on the Island?

There are also many charitable organisations and companies on the Island who offer services & support and a wide range of products. Further details can be found in the Circa Charities Directory and on the Disability Networks website.

How to I apply for a Disabled Parking Permit (Blue Badge)?

Where are Disabled Toilets located? Where can I obtain a RADAR Key?

RADAR Keys, allowing access to Disabled Toilets both on island and in the UK, can be purchased from the Circa Centre in Chester Street Car Park. They are also available at a number of other locations on the Island. 

Disabled Toilets can be found throughout the Island. Please note that some facilities have limited opening hours due to their location within privately owned buildings/businesses.

Where can I find information about public transport services, including accessibility, on the island?

Bus Vannin run a fully accessible Island-wide bus service. Accessibility varies on the Steam Train and Electric Tram due to the historic nature of the rolling stock. Full details of bus and rail accessibility is here:   

Where can I hire a meeting room or office space?

Circa’s Board Room, conveniently located within the Circa Centre in Chester Street Car Park, is available for hire for a nominal fee/donation.   

Facilities include: conference/meeting seating for up to 8 people, Tea/Coffee making facilities, flip chart, white board, Wi-Fi, convenient parking available.
